Callahan's K9 Camp is a local Connecticut dog hiking service. Hamden/North Haven/New Haven is our service area. Our program is ideal for dogs that enjoy the great outdoors and socializing with other canines. If your pet loves to be active and meet new friends, this program will enhance their life and help release their excess energy. We take a select group of dogs on hikes who are sociable with other dogs, have reliable recall, and feel at ease when off-leash. After a day filled with playtime, hiking, discovering new sights and scents, and swimming, your furry friend will be completely exhausted but will have made new dog buddies at our day camp.

A day at Callahan’s K9 Camp consists of. . .

Hiking about 6-10 miles per camp day

Learning new skills like jumping over logs, swimming, navigating rocky terrain, and much more

Improving training skills like off leash recall, impulse control, appropriate interactions with other dogs.

Why Choose Us?
We value safety as much as having fun! We both have prior experience in emergency veterinary medicine and bring a dog first aid kit, we are Pet First Aid and CPR certified, we carry an emergency dog carrying harness, and use GPS tracking collars on new dogs as well as a long line leash until they show their off leash skills.
